Graceville is located approximately 7.8 kilometres southwest of Brisbane’s CBD and had a population of 4,764 as of the 2021 census with a median age of 39 years old. The suburb has slightly more females (51.1%) than males (48.9%). The area comprises 1,303 families, with an average household size of 2.9 people and a median weekly household income of $2,929. Most residents (73.5%) were born in Australia, with 29.3% having both parents born overseas. The community is well-educated, with 52.2% holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Graceville is bordered by the Brisbane River and Oxley Creek and is mainly a residential suburb with a settlement history dating back to the late 19th century. The name Graceville comes from Grace Grimes, who was the daughter of Samuel Grimes of whom the railway station in Graceville is named after.

The suburb is well-connected by this railway station on the Ipswich line. Graceville is now well-developed suburb with shopping precincts and a few schools.
